Do you know what a “slop puppet” is?

I was chatting recently with an AI expert, my friend and doppelgänger @Gregg Bayes-Brown, about a very specific kind of AI slop: the corporate AI person giving a talk that is clearly AI-written.

Nothing undermines an AI literacy message quite like outsourcing it to the machine you are supposedly teaching people to use well. It says a lot about their AI literacy, and not in a good way.

After a bit of back-and-forth, Gregg coined it: “Slop Puppet”.

That’s definitely one of my favourites so far. Up there with “sloppy and paste.”
